Sandra Norby, PT Owner

Sandra Norby, PT Owner

Sandra is a native of LeMars, Iowa and has been a Physical Therapist since 1989. She is an alumni of The University of Iowa where she received her BS in Exercise Science/Athletic Training and her Master's of Physical Therapy. Sandra believes that all people deserve access to quality therapy services and to be treated with respect. She has created LeMars Physical Therapy to be a center where people enjoy coming to even when they are hurting.

Sandra has expertise in orthopedic (muscle, bone, joint, ligaments, tendons) and neurological (headache's, spasticity, etc) conditions. She is certified in office ergonomics and is an avid runner. Sandra is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is the Chair for the Payment Policy Committee of the Private Practice Section of the APTA. She lives in LeMars with her husband, Kim. They have 5 children, Joseph (Jr. at the University of Iowa); Benjamin (Fr. At Iowa State University); Daniel (Fr at Akron-Westfield High School); Skyler(Fr. At MOC-FV High School) and Teagan (7th grade at MOC-FV Middle School). They are also host parents to a foreign exchange student, Anisa Farida Amalia, from Indonesia.

Tyann Meyer, PT, DPT

Tyann is a native of the Lakota/Buffalo Center area in North Central Iowa. She received her BA degree in Exercise Science from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. While there, she was a member of the women's basketball team from 2002-2006. After graduating from Northwestern, Tyann went to the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2008. Tyann has experience working with orthopedic and neurologic patients, and has a special interest in orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, athletics and performance enhancement.

Jessica is a native of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated in 2004from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a BA degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training. While there, she was a student athletic trainer and covered all sports including football, wrestling, basketball, softball, track and field, volleyball, and soccer. After Northwestern, Jessica attended Des Moines University, where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2007.In June 2007,shejoined MercyNorthPhysical Therapy Clinic in Ankeny, Iowa.Shewas a outpatient physical therapist there until April 2010. Jessica was also a part-time certified athletic trainer for Pella Regional Hospital inPella, Iowafrom August 2008 through March 2010. While employed through Pella, she covered high school sporting events and a weekly clinic with Prairie City-Monroe High School.

Jessica is a Certified Athletic Trainer and an Ai-Chi Certified Aquatic Therapist. Jessica treats all orthopedic and neurologic conditions, but has special interest in orthopedics, vestibular rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, athletic injuries, and sport specific training. She resides in LeMars with her husband Corey.

Michelle Connor, OTR/L, CHT

Michelle Connor, OTR/L, CHT

Michelle is a native of South Dakota and received her Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Women's University. Michelle has experience in all facets of Occupational Therapy but particularly enjoys working with orthopedic patients. Michelle successfully passed the rigorous CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) exam in Nov. 2006.

We are proud and honored to have her be a part of Le Mars Physical Therapy. Michelle lives in rural Remsen with her husband Paul and three daughters.

April Leusink, PTA

April Leusink, PTA

April is a native of Hull, IA and received her Physical Therapist Assistants degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 1999. April has experience in orthopedic and neurologic Physical Therapy. She particularly enjoys the challenges of treating patients after orthopedic surgery.

April lives in LeMars with her husband Aaron, daughters Kady and Aubree, and son David. We are very happy that April is part of the LPT team.

Carol is a native of South Dakota and received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 2008. She is also certified to cast feet for custom Sole Supports orthotics. She enjoys meeting and treating the people of Le Mars, with special interests in sports, orthopedic, and neurologic rehabilitation.

Carol lives with her husband, Levi, in Sioux City.

Amy Spencer-McMullen, Office Manger

Amy is a native of Sioux City, Iowa and has worked in health care for 15 years. Amy has been employed by St. Luke's, NWIO, Rehab Vision's, Health South, and most recently CNOS. Amy's expertise lies in front office services and billing/reimbursement for Physical and Occupational Therapy.

Amy enhances the fun and friendly atmosphere of LeMars Physical Therapy by her bright eyes and honest smile. Amy lives in North Sioux City, SD with her two children, Justin and Kayla.

Monica Aalbers, MPT, ATC

Monica Aalbers, MPT, ATC Owner

Monica was born and raised in Sioux Center, IA. After graduating from Sioux Center Community High School, Monica received her BA from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a double major in exercise science and athletic training and a minor in Spanish. Monica received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Since graduation, Monica has worked in an outpatient and inpatient hospital based physical therapy department. She spent 2 years working at LeMars Physical Therapy.

In February of 2009, Monica opened Orange City Physical Therapy with Sandra Norby (owner of LeMars Physical Therapy). Monica is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and is also certified in Therasuit Intensive Pediatric Therapy. She treats all orthopedic and neurological conditions, but specializes in pediatrics, sports medicine, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Monica lives in Orange City with her husband Mitch who is the Orange City Parks and Recreation Director. They have 1 infant son Caleb Jon.

MAmanda Keller, ATC, Reception

Amanda Keller, ATC, Reception

Amanda is a native of Williams, Iowa. She graduated in 2009 from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a double major in Athletic Training and Physical Education. While there she was a member of the track & field team from 2004-2008. Amanda is a certified athletic trainer, and works at Northwestern College as an assistant athletic trainer. She also teaches aerobic classes. In addition Amanda is working on completing her Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania.

Amanda lives in Orange City with her husband. They are expecting their first child.
